Dear Old Boys

It was excellent to share in the exhilaration generated by the recent Americas Cup races! I trust some Auckland Old Boys were able to fully immerse themselves in the euphoria so evident in the Viaduct scene showcased in the media coverage. A great couple of days after the drudgery of lockdown!

ALMOST THERE!

As the weeks pass by quickly, we move toward the end of our ROBA fundraising campaign to assist with the purchase of the land surrounding School House. Settlement date is March 31^st, and it is a thrill to report that as of yesterday, Old Boys have generously donated $190,359. towards our target of $200,000. That is fantastic and the Executive is hugely grateful to the many members who have supported the campaign.

Our hope is that others will jump in over the next few days and offer their support for what will be of enduring significance as the College moves forward.

Donations should be sent to the Rathkeale Fundraising account: - 03-0687-0024454-11. Please make sure your name is included so that your charitable donation receipt can be sent to you.

I walked around the entire property early this week and enjoyed visualising what the College will be able to do with the paddocks, barn, stables, cottage, yards, and bush. It is certainly exciting to know that the dream will become a reality at the end of the month and that ROBA has played a significant role in that.

A celebratory event is currently being planned by the College and we look forward to welcoming Old Boys, to that alongside the Friends, Trustees, and other supporters of the College.
