King's Birthday Weekend
Friday June 2nd & Saturday June 3rd 2023

Download more information

The Reunions take place at King's Birthday Weekend, and annually follow roughly the same format:

Friday Evening
6pm - Combined Year Group Social gathering at Rathkeale.
Saturday Morning
9am Chapel Service, 10am Morning tea,  10.40am Photographs, 11.30am College tours, 1pm Lunch.
Saturday Afternoon / Evening
Individual year group activities.
Sunday
No official activity.

Each year group will have a Facilitator who will coordinate the reunion and seek to contact as many Old Boys and Old Girls as possible. Their task is made easier by the co-opting of others to assist with contacting members of the cohort. The role of Facilitator is vital to the success of the Reunion Weekend.

Wives and partners are most welcome to attend the reunion activities.

St Matthew's Old Girls' Association (SMOGA) organise a similar weekend in tandem with ROBA. Saturday evening will become a combined function for some Year Groups.

ROBA is grateful to the College for generously hosting the morning tea and Saturday luncheon.

Past Decade Reunion's

In 2017 the format of the Decade Reunions was established and implemented. It brought back to the College Old Boys and Staff who had been part of the cohorts who left school in 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997 and 2007 (i.e. all the '7' years).

In 2018 it was all the '8' years whilst in 2019 it was all the '9' years.

In 2021 we doubled up with the cancelled - due to Covid - 2020 reunions and welcomed back cohorts who left in 1970, 1971, 1980, 1990, 1991, 2000, 2001, 2010, 2011. Combined with a Choir reunion of the past 20 years of singers the weekend was a great success. A number of St. Matthew's Old Girls also joined us for the Friday night.

This year we held combined events with the St. Matthew's Old Girls' Association (SMOGA) which were exceptionally well received.
